The 2026 Palisade Hybrid swaps the gas Palisade‘s 287-hp 3.5L V6 for a 329-hp turbocharged 2.5L hybrid system. That’s more total horsepower and a meaningful jump in fuel economy: roughly 21 MPG combined in the gas Palisade versus 34 MPG combined in the FWD Hybrid Blue SEL. For Crown Point and Valparaiso families putting on real annual miles, this is where the math starts to favor hybrid.

Trade-offs are real, so they’re worth naming. The Hybrid uses a 6-speed automatic instead of the gas Palisade’s 8-speed. Towing capacity drops to 4,000 pounds from the gas V6’s 5,000 pounds. The gas XRT PRO is also Hybrid-unavailable for now, so if you want true light off-road capability for fishing access points or remote campsites, the gas XRT PRO remains the right tool.

No plug required. The hybrid system charges through the engine and regenerative braking, so you fill up at any pump and never coordinate a home charger.
